Infraorbital Reconstruction Following Mohs Micrographic Modification In A Basal Cell Carcinoma: A Case Report

Abstract
Basal cell carcinoma is the most common skin malignancy in the elderly with an increase of incidents. Mohs microscopic surgery is a skin cancer excision surgical technique under microscopic examination, with high cure rates, maximum preservation of healthy skin, good cosmetic and functional results. The skin flap is a transfer of skin or cutaneous tissue which still retain direct blood flow from the in situ position to a location directly adjacent to or close to the flap. There are various types of flaps which the use is regarding the anatomy and the surrounding tissue. A 60-year-old woman was diagnosed for basal cell carcinoma in the infraorbital. Thus, Mohs micrographics modification was conducted in this patient and followed with defect reconstruction using rotation flaps.
