Pacemaker Lead Placement in Persistent Left Superior Vena Cava: Alpha loop

Abstract
Persistent left superior vena cava (PLSVC) is a rare vascular anomaly but it is the most common congenital anomaly of the thoracic venous system. It is asymptomatic and is usually an incidental finding while performing interventions through the left subclavian vein or when cardiovascular imaging is performed for other reasons. Pacemaker implant in PLSVC can be
technically challenging, can complicate lead placement within the right side of the heart via the left subclavian approach. Here in this case we applied a small trick to facilitate entry of the pacing lead into the right ventricle.
