A Retrospective Clinico-epidemological study of burns victims at a tertiary care hospital burns unit at Mumbai, India.

Abstract
Burn injury continues to be a major challenge in todays developed world. Epidemological studies are source of information which help him planning and management of complex diseases.
this study describes data of burn victims in terms of etiology, demography and outcomes at tertiary burns hospital. between January 2016 to October 2021 557 patients underwent treatment at this unit. The mean age was 21-40 years, mean percentage of body surface area of burn wound was 38.52 %. Flame burns were the commonest cause of burn. bacteriology test revealed commonest organisms as Pseudomanas and Klebsiella. Mortality rate was 41 %.
Burns injury is an ongoing problem which requires special intervention methods for its prevention.
